Day 1 Home City > Beijing Overnight flight to Beijing, China’s capital. Day 2 Beijing Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the Capital Hotel for 3 nights. Day 3 Beijing [B/L/SD] Today's sightseeing starts at the iconographic Tiananmen Square, before passing through the Gate of Heavenly Peace as you venture into the imposing Forbidden City. In the afternoon visit the lavish Summer Palace. Enjoy a welcome Peking Duck dinner. Day 4 Beijing [B/L] It𠏋 a thrill to walk along the Great Wall - a formidable construction that winds its way over the hills of northern China for more than 2,000 miles. You will visit the Mutianyu, known as the most scenic section. Observe the panoramic views on a cable car ride up. After returning to Beijing, spend the rest of day at leisure. Day 5 Beijing > Xian [B/L/SD] Morning tour of the Temple of Heaven followed by a walk through Liulichang, Beijing’s cultural street. Fly to Xian this afternoon and on arrival you are met and transferred to the Howard Johnson Ginwa Palaza Hotel. Day 6 Xian [B/L/D] Full day excursion to some of Xian’s ancient monuments. The highlight is the Grand Mausoleum of Qin Emperor Shi Huang Di, first emperor of China. Protecting the emperor’s mausoleum are 8,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses. Set off toward the Banpo Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, originally built as a Buddhist retreat in the 7th century. Tonight you will enjoy a Dumpling Dinner with Tang Dynasty Show. Day 7 Xian > Guilin [B/L/D] Morning visit to City Wall, Grand Mosque and then the Provincial Museum. This afternoon fly to Guilin. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the Lijiang Waterfall Hotel or similar. For the balance of the day, visit Guilin’s landmark - the Elephant Trunk Hill and Piled Silk Hill on a city tour. Day 8 Guilin > Yangshuo [B/L/D] Enjoy a cruise down the Li River passing through the famous landscape of China. After disembarkation in Yangshuo, you check in at the Paradise Resort. The rest of the day is free to explore this beautiful town on your own. Tonight enjoy a spectacular outdoor show – Li River Impression directed by the world renowned movie director – Zhang Yimou. The outdoor amphitheatre consists of 12 mountain peaks as its backdrop and the stage is simply the water of the Li River. You will enjoy the visual impact that is both thrilling and unforgettable! Day 9 Yangshuo > Guilin > Kunming [B/L/D] Morning is free at leisure. This afternoon you will be transferred to Guilin airport for your flight to Kunming. Arrive in Kunming, the bustling capital of China’s Yunnan province. Check-in at the Harbour Plaza Hotel for 2 nights. Day 10 Kunming > Stone Forest > Kunming [B/L/D] A full day excursion to the Stone Forest, one of China's most remarkable natural phenomena. It features 80 hectares of innumerable bizarre-shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion over some 270 million years. The Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani people, known for their diligence, valour, wisdom, and melodious songs and graceful dances. Experience culinary delights at local restaurants for lunch and dinner. Day 11 Kunming > Lijiang [B/L/D] Take a short flight to Lijiang, and on arrival transfer to the Guanfang Hotel. Take an excursion to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with a chairlift ride to discover the famous Thirteen Peaks. Visit Baisha village, the ancient capital of the culturally rich Naxi Kingdom. In the afternoon, after a walk to the Black Dragon Pond, experience the renowned Moon Embracing Pavilion. Use your free time for leisurely sightseeing in the “Old Town” section of Lijiang, which is an intimate mountain town of stone and tile, constructed around canals. It has recently acquired World Monument protection status through UNESCO. Experience the pleasure of a Naxi concert before dinner. Day 12 Lijiang > Shangrila (Zhongdian) [B/L/D] Take a drive to the Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest canyons of the world. Wedged tightly between enormous cliffs, the Yangtze River is extremely narrow at this location. Relax over lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, stop at the village of the Stone Drum where you can experience a dramatic view of the mighty Yangtze's near a 180-degree grandiose turn. Remarkably, for nearly 20 km the river runs parallel to itself. Stay 2 nights at Gyaltang Dzong Hotel. Day 13 Shangrila [B/L/D] Discover the Ganden Songzanlin Monastery, the Napa Nature Reserve, the Tibetan Hospital, the local market and even some local Tibetan households. Enjoy your lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Day 14 Shangrila > Kunming > Mandalay For those travellers on 14 days program return to home city via Kunming. Passengers on 22 days package will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mandalay via Kunming. On arrival, you are met and transferred to the Mandalay Swan Hotel. Visit Mandalay Hill to enjoy a panoramic view of the city before dinner. Day 15 Mandalay [B/L/D] Mandalay is a legendary city of great cultural importance. A full day tour includes highlights such as Mahamuni which enshrined the holiest Buddha statue in Myanmar, traditionally (though impossibly) believed to have been copied from the living image of the Buddha; Shwenandaw Monastery is noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi Monastery, Mandalay Palace and Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world biggest book. Continue your touring of the craft markets and workshops in Mandalay this afternoon. Depending on your interest, focus on puppetry making, tapestry weaving, marble and woodcarving, bronze casting, silk weaving, gold leaf beating, silver smiths, ivory carving, paper, and the antique shops. Day 16 Mandalay > Amarapura > Sagaing [B/L/D] This morning depart for a visit to the ancient city of Amarapura - City of Immortality built on the advice of astrologers. At Mahagandaryone Monastery, we witness hundreds of monks in their daily morning meal processions and then U Bein’s Bridge - a 1.2 km wooden footbridge which is the longest teak bridge in the world. Continue over the Irrawaddy River via the Ava Bridge to Sagaing hill to visit this lush, colorful mountain covered in temples. Day 17 Mandalay > Bagan [B/L/D] Transfer to the airport this morning for a short flight to Bagan. Spend the rest of the day touring Bagan with highlights including Gubyaukgyi Temple, and Ananda Pahto, one of the finest, largest, best preserved and most revered of the Bagan temples. You will also visit Shwezigon Pagoda, Shwesandaw Pagoda, the first monument in Bagan, which features stairways leading up from the square bottom terraces to the round base of the Stupa. This Pagoda is ideal to watch Bagan𠏋 Magnificent sunsets. Dinner at a riverside restaurant and overnight at the Myanmar Treasure Resort. Day 18 Bagan > Yangon [B/L/D] Enjoy a full day sightseeing of Bagan with famous monuments including Sulamani Temple, decorated with finest ornaments; Dhamayangyi Temple, the most massive temple; Tatbyinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan; Shwe Gugyi Temple, traditional in style between the early and the late Bagan period; Gawdaw Palin Temple; Mahabodhi Temple, resemble of Mahabodi Temple in Bodaghaya and Bupaya Pagoda on the bank of majestic Ayeyarwady River. Day 19 Yangon [B/L/D] After breakfast at the hotel, visit Shwedagon Pagoda, National Museum and Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, take a half day sightseeing tour of the Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, Maha Pasana Cave, where the six Buddhist synods was celebrated. Evening visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market. Day 20 Yangon > Bangkok [B] After breakfast at the hotel, visit Strand Jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon’s River. Transfer to the airport for departure flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the Amari Watergate Hotel where accommodation is arranged for the next 2 nights. Day 21 Bangkok [B] A full day in Bangkok to explore this fascinating Asian city on your own, take an optional tour or simply hunt down some of those fabulous bargains that can be found on every corner!
