Day 1 Home City > Beijing Depart from your home city and fly to Beijing, China’s capital. Day 2 Arrive Beijing Upon arrival, transfer to the Xindado Hotel or similar for 5 nights. Day 3 Beijing [B/L] This morning the splendor of Beijing awaits you. After a stroll in the historic Tiananmen Square, you access to the Forbidden City via the Gate of Heavenly Peace. Explore this former Imperial Palace; listed by UNESCO as the world𠏋 largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures. This afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, a former retreat for the Imperial Family. If weather permits, enjoy a boat ride on the Kunming Lake. Day 4 Beijing [B/L] No visit to China is complete without a trip to the Great Wall. You will visit the Badaling section and then continue to the Ming Tombs, the urial place of the 13 emperors. Enjoy a walk along the Sacred Way which leads to the tomb that lines with marble statues. Day 5 Beijing [B/L/SD] Beijing’s parklands gather people of all ages in the morning to practice Taichi, Qigong, ballroom dance or disco as a way of daily exercise. You arrive at the Temple of Heaven in time to watch this unique scene. After visiting this holy temple once the emperors prayed for good harvest, you will tour the elegant Palace of Peace and Harmony or Lama Temple. This evening, enjoy a Peking Duck dinner followed by a show of Chinese Kungfu. Day 6 Beijing [B] Today is free for you to explore Beijing on your own or join an optional half day Hutong Tour by rickshaw to visit Beijing𠏋 old, narrow and fast demolishing alleys. Day 7 Beijing > Xian [B/L] A morning flight brings you to Xian. Enjoy a city tour featuring City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening, a treatment of royal dinner and cultural show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre. Overnight at the Grand New World Hotel or similar. Day 8 Xian > Guilin [B/L] Begin your day with a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum and then at the Terra Cotta Museum, you will watch a noodle - making demonstration. Your highlight today is to view the life-sized Terracotta Warriors that have been standing on guard for the first Emperor of China for over 2000 years. Later this afternoon, fly to Guilin and on arrival, stay 2 nights at the Guilin Park Hotel or similar. Day 9 Guilin [B/L] Enjoy a full day cruise down the Li River, passing through the region𠏋 famous landscapes. The tall pointed hills and rice fields are familiar from many Chinese paintings. Day 10 Guilin > Shanghai [B/L] Your morning starts with a tour of Reed Flute Caves followed by Fubo Hill - Guilin𠏋 landmark. Fly to Shanghai after lunch and upon arrival, check in at the Galaxy Hotel or similar. Day 11 Shanghai [B/L] Embark on a comprehensive tour of Shanghai with your guide. You will see the famous sites, including Nanjing Road, the Bund, Yu Garden and Jade Buddha Temple. This evening, enjoy a wonderful Acrobatic Show. Day 12 Shanghai [B] Today is free for you to explore Shanghai. A full day optional excursion to Suzhou with be offered. Day 13 Shanghai > Home City [B] Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home. Legend: B - Breakfast L - Lunch D - Dinner SD - Special Dinner
