Day 1 Home City > Tokyo Depart from your home city to Tokyo. Day 2 Arrive Tokyo Upon arrival, you are met and assisted to the airport transfer bus to the Grand Palace Hotel or similar for 2 nights stay. Day 3 Tokyo [B] A morning tour shows you the highlights of this fascinating metropolis. Starting from the Tokyo Tower, you ascend to the observatory level for a commanding view of the city. Then it's on to the Imperial Palace Plaza and the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest and most popular temple in the city with a harmonious melding of design and spirituality. The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps you鏆 like to take a cruise on Tokyo Bay, or just browse the remarkable modern electronics at Akiharbara. Day 4 Tokyo > Mt. Fuji > Hakone > Kyoto [B/L] Depart to Mt Fuji via expressway. Drive halfway up the 5th station of Japan’s highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2,300 meters. Afternoon sightseeing in Hakone and enjoy a cruise on the Lake Ashi and visit to Mt. Komagatake Aerial cableway. Proceeding to Odawara Station and travel by “Bulletin Train” to Kyoto. Overnight at the New Miyako Hotel. Day 5 Kyoto > Nara > Kyoto [B/L] Morning sightseeing includes visiting the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle noted for its gorgeous interiors and Kyoto Imperial Palace (on Sat, Sun & national holidays: visit Higashi Honganji Temple instead). Lunch at Kyoto Handicraft Centre. After lunch, continue to Nara and visit Todaiji Temple that houses a great image of Buddha and the colorful Kasuga Shrine with 3,000 lanterns. Day 6 Kyoto > Home City [B] Transfer by Airport Limousine to Osaka Airport for your return flight to Canada. Your day hardly goes by without hearing something about Japan. Come with us to discover ancient temples and castles, unmatched natural beauty and the many exotic pleasures of this country that still remains something of an enigma to people in the Western world. ******************************** OPTIONAL HIROSHIMA EXTENSION ****************************** Day 6 Kyoto > Hiroshima [B] Transfer to Kyoto Station to board a Shinkansen Train for Hiroshima. Afternoon tour visiting colorful Itsukushima Shine with its Torii gate, which seems to float above the sea. Also visit the Peace Memorial Park and a museum that displays relics and photos of the A-bomb devastation. Stay at the Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima. Day 7 Hiroshima > Kurashiki > Osaka [B/L] Take a Shinkansen train to Kurashiki and visit Kurashiki Folk craft Museum. Lunch at Kurashiki International Hotel. After lunch, isit Ohara Museum of Art followed by Korakuen Garden. Return to Osaka by Shinkansen train and stay at the Hotel Granvia Osaka. Day 8 Osaka > Home City [B] Airport Limousine transfer to Osaka Airport for your departure flight home.
