Day 1 Home City > Beijing Fly overnight flight to Beijing, China’s capital. Day 2 Beijing Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the Gloria Plaza Hotel Beijing for 3 nights. Day 3 Beijing [B/L/SD] Today’s sightseeing starts at the iconographic Tiananmen Square, before passing through the Gate of Heavenly Peace as you venture into the imposing Forbidden City, followed by the lavish Summer Palace. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner. Day 4 Beijing [B/L] It’s a thrill to walk along the Great Wall - a formidable construction that winds its way over the hills of northern China for more than 2,000 miles. You will visit the Mutianyu, known as the most scenic section. Observe the panoramic views on a cable car ride up. After returning to Beijing, a rickshaw ride around the Hutong helps you to gain an insight into the everyday life of Beijingers. Day 5 Beijing > Xian [B/L/SD] Morning tour of the Temple of Heaven followed by a walk through Liulichang, Beijing’s cultural street. Fly to Xian today and on arrival, you are transferred to the Garden Hotel or similar for 2 nights. Later today visit the City Wall and the Grand Mosque. This evening, enjoy a dumpling dinner. Day 6 Xian [B/L/D] Today’s tour will include visits to the Qin Shi Huang Di Tomb, with its Army of Terra-Cotta Soldiers and Bronze Chariots, the Huaqing Hot Spring and the Banpo Museum. Day 7 Xian > Chongqing [B/L/D] This morning, you will visit the Shaanxi Historical Museum. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Enjoy a short city tour if time permits. After a buffet dinner at a restaurant with a marvelous night view, you board the China Regal Cruise for an enjoyable cruise adventure on the mighty Yangtze. Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise [B/L/D] Enjoy an orientation aboard and a relaxing morning cruising along China’s longest river. In the afternoon, the ship arrives at Fengdu, known as the “City of Ghosts”, where you will tour the temples on Mingshan Hill. Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise [B/L/D] Cruise through the Qutang and Wu Gorges. Enjoy a wonderful excursion aboard small sampans and explore the beauty of the Shennong Stream. Return to the ship and sail through the passage of Xiling, known for its dramatic shoals and then navigate through the Three Gorges Ship lock. Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise [B/L/D] In the morning, visit Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydroelectric power project. Later, be on your ship’s Sun Deck as you traverse the Gezhou Ship lock. Day 11 Wuhan > Shanghai [B/L] Say goodbye to your crew around noon as you disembark in Wuhan. Enjoy a city tour visiting the Yellow Crane Pavilion and Hubei Provincial Museum. Later today, you fly to Shanghai - China’s most populous and modern city and once known as the “Paris of the East”. On arrival transfer to the Huating Hotel or similar. Day 12 Shanghai [B/L/SD] This morning you visit the Bund, Jade Buddha Temple and Yuyuan Garden where after your visiting, have a Dim Sum lunch. In the afternoon, visit Shanghai's world-renown museum which houses the finest collection of Chinese art including calligraphy, scroll paintings, bronzes and ceramics. If in session, you will also visit the Children's Palace, which offer specialized instruction for the local youngsters. Enjoy a Shanghainese dinner this evening at Shanghai Uncle Restaurant followed by an acrobatic performance at the Portman Theatre - a great experience. Day 13 Shanghai > Suzhou [B/L] A day trip to Suzhou, important trading town ever since the first days of the Grand Canal. You will visit some of Suzhou’s elegant gardens, the National Embroidery Research Institute and a silk-reeling mill to see how silk is processed and spun. Then take an unforgettable cruise on the Grand Canal of China, the longest and largest manmade waterway in the world before returning to Shanghai. Day 14 Shanghai > Guilin [B/L/D] Fly to Guilin this morning, a city famous for its picturesque scenery. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the Royal Garden Hotel or similar. For the balance of the day, you will visit the Reed Flute Cave and view its marvellous limestone formations, and the Elephant Trunk Hill - the city’s symbol. Traveller on 14 days program will be at leisure in the hotel until the time for transfer to the airport and departure home. Breakfast is included. Day 15 Guilin > Yangshuo [B/L/D] Enjoy a cruise down the Li River passing through the famous landscape of China. You disembark in Yangshuo and stay at the Paradise Resort for overnight. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring this beautiful little town on your own. Tonight, if weather permits, enjoy an optional spectacular show — Li River Impression directed by the world renowned movie director — Zhang Yimou. The outdoor amphitheatre consists of 12 mountain peaks as its backdrop and the stage is simply the water of the Li River. A visual impact that is both thrilling and unforgettable! Day 16 Yangshuo > Hong Kong [B/L/D] Morning is free for further exploration of Yangshuo. Transfer to Guilin airport for flight to Hong Kong and on arrival, you are met and transferred to the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel for 2 nights. Day 17 Hong Kong [B] Today’s half day coach tour of Hong Kong, includes visits to Victoria Peak for breathtaking views of the city, the fishing village of Aberdeen, and the Stanley Market. Day 18 Hong Kong > Home City [B] Transfer to the airport today for your departure flight home. ******************************** CHINA REGAL CRUISES ******************************** China Regal Cruises owns three ships, the Princess Elaine, Princess Jeannie and Princess Sheena, All identical to each other.
