Day 1-2 Home City > Bangkok Depart from your home city and board the flight to Bangkok. Day 3 Arrive Bangkok Upon arrival at Bangkok, you are met and transferred to the Amari Boulevard Hotel for overnight. Day 4 Bangkok > Yangon [B/D] Fly to Yangon, Myanmar’s capital with impressive colonial and spiritual heritage. Embark on a city tour and visit such highlights as the gilded Sule Pagoda, Bogyoke (Scott’s) Market, the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda’s 70m long reclining Buddha and Myanmar’s holiest monument, the Shwedagon Pagoda with its gold covered stupa. Dinner and accommodation at Grand Plaza Parkroyal Hotel. Day 5 Yangon > Bagan [B/L/D] A short morning flight brings you to Bagan, the area decorated with more than 2,000 temples and shrines, a treasure trove of Buddhist art history. Spend the day exploring a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as Shwezigon Pagoda, Ku Byauk Gyi temple for its exquisite murals, Khay Min Ga Temple, and Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple. Lunch at the Sunset Garden Restaurant. A stop at a lacquer craftsman's workshop in a village before continuing to see the Manuha Temple and Nanbaya Temple. This is followed by a visit to Myingaba Gu Byauk Gyi, noted for its ancient mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. Enjoy the sunset from the upper terrace of Myauk Guni Temple. Dinner and accommodation at the Thazin Garden Hotel. Day 6 Bagan > Mandalay [B/L/D] Depart in the morning for Myanmar’s cultural center Mandalay. On arrival, embark on a tour of Amarapura, known as “City of Immortals”. You will visit Mahagandayon, the country’s largest monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study. This is followed by visits o U Bein teak bridge and Sagaing Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees. Enjoy a magnificent view over the surrounding area. Spend the afternoon touring Mandalay and view such highlights as Mahamuni Pagoda, Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung or Golden Palace Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world's largest book consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill before dinner at Ko’ Kitchen Restaurant. Stay overnight at the Mandalay City Hotel. Day 7 Heho > Inle Lake [B/L/D] In the morning, transfer to Mandalay Airport for your flight to Heho. Enjoy a scenic drive to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s best-known sights. The Intha people, a tribe of Mon descent, mostly inhabit the lakeshores and floating villages. Your sightseeing tour of Inle Lake includes a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen, the floating gardens that is built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. In the afternoon, you visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and the jumping cat monastery. Dinner and accommodation at the Shwe Inn Tha Hotel. Day 8 Heho > Yangon [B] After a visit colorful local market, you are transferred to Heho Airport for your flight to Yangon and check in at the Grand Plaza Park Royal Hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Day 9 Yangon > Bangkok [B] Depart for Bangkok and on arrival, transfer to the Amari Boulevard Hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
